KEGG   ENZYME: 2.3.1.153Help
Entry
EC 2.3.1.153                Enzyme

Name
anthocyanin 5-(6'''-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase)
Class
Transferases;
Acyltransferases;
Transferring groups other than aminoacyl groups
BRITE hierarchy
Sysname
4-hydroxycinnamoyl-CoA:anthocyanidin 3,5-diglucoside 5-O-glucoside-6'''-O-4-hydroxycinnamoyltransferase
Reaction(IUBMB)
4-hydroxycinnamoyl-CoA + anthocyanidin 3,5-diglucoside = CoA + anthocyanidin 3-glucoside 5-(6-O-4-hydroxycinnamoylglucoside) [RN:R05163]
Reaction(KEGG)
Substrate
4-hydroxycinnamoyl-CoA [CPD:C00223];
anthocyanidin 3,5-diglucoside
Product
CoA [CPD:C00010];
anthocyanidin 3-glucoside 5-(6-O-4-hydroxycinnamoylglucoside)
Comment
Isolated from the plant Gentiana triflora. Transfers the hydroxycinnamoyl group only to the C-5 glucoside of anthocyanin. Caffeoyl-CoA, but not malonyl-CoA, can substitute as an acyl donor.
