Comment
The enzyme from the bacterium Pseudomonas sp. YGJ3 is composed of three subunits named PhlA, PhlB and PhlC. Production of 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol, which has antibiotic activity, is strongly inhibited by chloride ions.
