KEGG   ENZYME: 3.1.3.112
Entry
EC 3.1.3.112                Enzyme
Name
4'-phosphooxetanocin A phosphatase;
oxsA (gene name)
Class
Hydrolases;
Acting on ester bonds;
Phosphoric-monoester hydrolases
Sysname
[(2S,3R,4R)-4-(6-aminopurin-9-yl)-3-(hydroxymethyl)oxetan-2-yl]methyl phosphate phosphohydrolase
Reaction(IUBMB)
4'-phosphooxetanocin A + H2O = oxetanocin A + phosphate [RN:R13364]
Reaction(KEGG)
R13364
Substrate
4'-phosphooxetanocin A [CPD:C22952];
H2O [CPD:C00001]
Product
oxetanocin A [CPD:C22953];
phosphate [CPD:C00009]
Comment
The enzyme can catalyse the sequential hydrolysis of tri-, di-, and mono-phosphorylated oxetanocin A compounds, releasing one molecule of inorganic phosphate at a time. The active site switches from a dinuclear to a mononuclear metal center as phosphates are eliminated from the substrate.
