Comment
This enzyme, characterized from the plant Arabidopsis thaliana, participates in the biosynthesis of the plant defense compounds glucosinolates and camalexin. It is the only known plant enzyme capable of hydrolysing the gamma-glutamyl residue of glutathione in the cytosol.
