Comment
A zinc enzyme produced by pseudomonads, Flavobacterium sp. and Acinetobacter sp. Its ability to hydrolyse pteroyl-L-glutamate (folic acid) has led to its use as a folate-depleting, antitumour agent. Type example of peptidase family M20
