This directory contains supplementary files for the following paper:
Toshiharu Sakurai, Hiroki Nishiyama, Tomoyuki Nagai, Susumu Goto, 
Hiroyuki Ogata, Masatoshi Kudo. Deficiency of Gankyrin in the small 
intestine is associated with augmented colitis accompanied by 
altered bacterial composition of intestinal microbiota. BMC Gastroenterol., 20, 12, (2020).

Please note that the raw reads in this study is stored in DDBJ/DRA under the
accesion number DRA009279.

There are two main directories:
1. FIRST_OTU_ANALYSIS: Contains info regarding the first OTU analysis conducted to understand the intestinal microbiota of non-cohoused mice groups. Please see paper for detail.
2. SECOND_OTU_ANALYSIS: Contains info regarding the second OTU analysis conducted to understand the intestinal microbiota of co-housed mice. Please see paper for detail.

Each of the above directories contains the following sub-directories:
1. CLEAN_READS: Merged reads with primers and low quality region trimmed off.
2. CLUSTER_LOG: Shows which merged reads were assigned to each OTU 
clusters during the closed reference clustering and denovo clustering.
3. OTU_TABLE: The OTU table.

*NOTE: In each main directories there is a file called 'metadata.txt' to help readers understand the data.
