KEGG NETWORK Database Entry

Entry The KEGG NETWORK database is a collection of network elements representing segments of signaling and other molecular interaction/reaction networks. Each network element is identified by the unique identifier called the N number ('N' followed by five-digit number) and belongs to either the reference type found in KEGG pathway maps or the perturbed type associated with diseases and drugs.
Name Network element name.
Definition The definition of the network element consisting of human gene names. The expanded form represents precise definition consisting of human gene IDs, variant IDs and other KEGG identifiers.
Class The classification of network elements according to the BRITE hierarchy br08907.
Type The type of network elements: reference, variant, virus or drug.
Pathway Reference pathway map or disease pathway map containing the network element.
Disease Human diseases that are associeted with the network element.
Gene List of human genes in the expanded definition.
Variant List of human gene variants in the expanded definition.
Perturbant List of viral genes, drugs and other perturbants in the expanded definition.
Metabolite List of metabolites in the expanded definition.
Reference Original references used for defining the network element.
LinkDB 'All DBs' button in this field retrieves all available links to related database entries in the LinkDB system. At GenomeNet this field does not appear; instead a list of actual links is displayed on the right.
