Microtubular motor protein, involved in organelle movement, in mitosis and meiosis. In contrast to dynein, it moves along microtubules towards the plus end. Composed of two heavy (alpha) chains (110 kDa) and two or more light (beta) chains (65-75 kDa). Also hydrolyses GTP.
