Global map Overview map | The global maps (map numbers 01100s) and the overview maps (map numbers 01200s) are a special class of metabolic pathway maps in the KEGG PATHWAY database, presenting global and overall pictures of metabolism. They are drawn with lines (or arrows) as the main objects for linking KOs, enzymes, reactions and individual genes, rather than boxes in regular metabolic pathway maps.

Category color (Global map only) |
As default the global maps are shown with coloring to distinguish eleven functional categories 09101 to 09111 in KEGG Color Codes. For organism-specific maps, this can be changed from the zoom menu, which contains the nc (no color) mode for using uncolored global maps.
As default the category titles are no longer shown in the global maps. Use the check box on the left panel to display.
KEGG modules |
The left panel also contains the list of KEGG pathway modules. The check boxes display modules on the global/overview map. The location of each module may also be viewed as a pop-up image by placing the cursor on the M number.
In the organism-specific pathways, only the complete modules are enabled. Use the pop-up feature to view the location of incomplete or nonexistent modules.
Reaction modules (Overview map only) | In the overview maps, the left panel contains the list of reaction modules at the bottom. |
