Comment | Rifampicin and fusidic acid resistant derivative of OG1. OG1 is a human isolate subsequently shown to cause dental caries in rats. Shown to be as virulent as V583 in the model host Caenorhabditis elegans. Readily transformable by electroporation, and non-resistant to commonly used antibiotics, other than rifampicin and fusidic acid.
